About Auto Repair: Get Busy Doing Car Stuff This Spring

About

From Matthew Wright, your Guide to Auto Repair

It's Spring! No, really, the warm weather has finally crept far enough north to call it Spring. Even the snowbirds are feeling some warm sunshine on their (our) faces. Take advantage of the warm weather and get your vehicle ready for the summer driving season. You can save gobs of money by doing all of these procedures yourself. Not to mention how rewarding it can be to do your own work!
Start With the Spring Maintenance Checklist

The Spring Maintenance Checklist is a great guide to some important maintenance procedures you can tackle in your spare time this season. You'll save serious money by doing these things yourself.

The Radiator Flush

There are lots of reasons to flush your cooling system. Believe it or not, your coolant performs a number of tasks including cooling, warming, lubricating and heating. Neglecting it can lead to all sorts of issues. A cooling system flush is a must.

Windscreen Wishes and Caviar Dreams

Ok, this is a car site so we can't really offer any tips on caviar. But we're full of advice on windshields. Get your windscreen in top shape this spring with the Spring Windshield Primer

The Oil Change, It's Always Time

There's never a bad time for an oil change. Every 5,000 miles or so (depending on who you're talking to) and your vehicle is ready for another one. Save time and money this spring by doing your own oil change. It's a rewarding job that's great for beginners.
